About Baucom Computers
Baucom ("bawk'-um") Computers is a company run by me, David Baucom, who for five years has been a reseller and broker of used Mac systems. The company name reflects the fact that it is not a big corporation pushed along by a marketing machine and high prices, but instead a small outlet in which customers find better deals and more individualized service.
Baucom Computers is not an Apple VAR (Value Added Reseller), but rather an independent reseller, with no affiliation with Apple Computer, Inc.
My aim is to consistently offer better prices than those from other resellers. If you can find a better price elsewhere on any item, let me know and I will do what I can to match or beat it.
Local customers: In keeping with a low-overhead / low-price approach, this is a mail-order company only; there is no retail shop/storefront, although appointments for pickup/delivery can be arranged. Local customers should take note too that some products listed on the web site are not in our physical inventory in Charlotte, but rather drop-shipped from other suppliers, so might not be immediately available and could possibly take up to a week to arrive once an order is placed. In some of these cases, local customers are subject to paying shipping charges. All North Carolina customers are subject to paying 7.5% sales tax (7% state tax +.5% county tax).
