This is an old notice from over a year ago, but I'm leaving it up for old customers who haven't visited in a long time.
Regarding the new web site (Bottom Line: not much of a change for customers - and that's good)
What has changed: A long-overdue, proper domain name, a better title graphic to look at, and various small improvements to the web site, ongoing.
What has not changed: The commitment to low pricing - below other resellers, and the personal service.
For several years, I've used a terribly long web address which, despite it's awkwardness, served its purpose. It was okay as long as people copied and pasted it, bookmarked it, or clicked links to it - But awful for giving out verbally or in print. Having an official business name and a proper domain was long overdue. (My thanks to Patrick Lavache for assistance in hosting!)
The site itself has always been amateurish-looking, and I actually liked it that way. I received more than a dozen offers from web designers to redesign it to look more "professional" (always offered in exchange for a Mac, of course). I usually told them I could improve the looks myself, if I took the time. But I didn't want it to have the lavish feel of a "Neimann-Marcus site," but instead that of a Sam's Club or Home Depot, in which the money and time saved on refinements is passed on to the customer in the form of better deals. I've probably received a hundred comments in favor of this basic style. A surprising number of people commented that they liked the feel, the simplicity, the "attitude" of the site. And they liked the convenience of a quick-loading page without a lot of graphics and java, and linked pages for every product type. So this is not such a big change, just a well-deserved revision. It does now look a little more professional - I hope this doesn't discourage anyone. :-)
